Dublin’s Second Terminal! The recent news of the new plans for a second terminal at DUB INTL, have been met with mixed reactions. Many airlines have argued that a new proposed price rise in airport costs will not make it profitable to fly into Dublin Collinstown anymore, unless prices are raised. Another important point raised, from a tax payers point of view, is that, if a private investor was to have built the terminal, it would be to no cost of the tax payer, but no the customers of the airport would be hit in the pocket twice. With even more bad news, being released last week, that the second runway at Dublin INTL may now be uncommercially viable, many persons will be left asking the question, “are the management team at DAA, even considering profitability at the airport, or are they just trying to play it safe to the point of unprofitabiltity?”
